We witness a every time a child enters into life. But those who make their journey home across time & miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us by God's very own hand

Getting ready for court

It has been a busy couple of days for us in Tomsk! We had our Russian medical exams yesterday. fun fun fun! They really were not bad, just a pain in the rear. We had blood tests and were looked at and talked to by many doctors. We also had to have a chest x-ray for TB. Can you believe the x-rays were only 70 rubels each...that is like $2! Thankfully, everything came out fine.
We had our precourt hearing yesterday, Monday. It was fine, but the prosecutor asked for more documents, so court could not be scheduled for today, Tuesday. Court is on Weds (tomorrow) and all the documents have been collected...Thank GOD (and Katya!). It was really stupid docs that were being asked for, but what are you going to do??

So, court is tomorrow, and we are feeling pretty good about it. Vince has chosen to be the speaker and give a speech about the ins and outs of the Waldens and why we want to adopt. He is a much better speaker than I, so I am glad he is willing to do it.

We did not get to see Hope yesterday since the medicals and precourt took so long. We were thankful today that we got to see her. We played outside with her this morning. She loved to pick the flowers and eat the sand in the sand box. There were a lot of other children outside today and Vince enjoyed playing "hi five" with them. They would crack up with huge belly laughs when they smacked his hands. It was heart breaking to hear the other kids call us Mama and Papa. I just pray their parents are led to them soon.

I will leave you with a picture of us outside today. It was super nice out, warm and sunny with a slight breeze. Hope was bundled up in a dress, tights, sweater leggings, a sweater, parka jacket, sweater bonet and a scarf. She looked like a zombie when she walked. She was very happy to strip off the layers when we went inside.

Please say a prayer for us for court. We hear our judge is very fair, but our prosecutor can be a bit of a pain. She is the one that asked for more documents, so we pray they are to her satisfaction. We are asking for the 10 days to be waived as well. We are not expecting it, but would love it if it were to happen.

Will post again tomorrow with news of court.
