In cooperation with the County Health Department and its assessment of the increasing number of probable cases of H1N1 (swine flu), Type A and Influenza-like illnesses within our district, the health department supports the district-wide closing of school from Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 8. Students and staff will not have to makeup days lost due to the swine flu school closures.
Symptoms of the swine flu are similar to the regular seasonal flu. Swine flu symptoms include: high fever of 100.5 or higher, severe headache, muscle and body aches, chills, fatigue, vomiting and diarrhea. If your child has any of these symptoms, please call your child's doctor immediately.

On a side note, Connor had his 10 yr well check today. He is 4'5" and 64 pounds. He is about 25th% for both height and weight. He is super healthy and perfect!
Off to entertain my semi-quarantined boys.

bummer! i had the flu yesterday---with all those described symptoms and chris had the girls convinced i had the swine flu. he is so mean. they were freaking out that i was going to die. i could have kicked chris. i was much to sick to do that though. i hope those days pass quickly. so far we don't have any school closures.
Annoying! The media is acting like the sky is falling. I think it will be OK. I like how the staff does not have to make up the days off.
